Saint Franks - Victoria

Love the concept this bar has going. Drinks are slightly overpriced for a 'dive' bar, but the decor is super cool and it's a great atmosphere!

Great bar! Reminded us of being back home in Portland, Oregon but before it became to crowded. Strong drinks, great music, dim lighting, and friendly staff.

I think Saint Franks does a lot of things that are unique in Victoria. I can't think of anywhere else where you can get barber service, a cocktail, and a pretty decent hot dog all under one roof. It's fun to head there in the afternoon for a drink, it's awesome to head there after dinner and get a taste of someplace that's lively but isn't a full-on club, and it's also great to stop in before going to a club to get things going for the rest of the night. I always have a good time here.

Can't say enough about how much I enjoyed Saint Franks. The first time I went there was just a random find. First trip to Victoria and my girlfriend and I just happened to stumble upon it. The staff there are a great bunch of people. They welcomed us in, treated us like family and laughed with us and everyone else in the bar all night. Ordered a couple of old fashioneds... spot on! Ordered a couple of hotdogs... amazing, the dog itself was full of flavor and smokey goodness. If you only visit one bar, make it Saint Franks... small friendly and stands out from the rest of the "same old" bars.

This was my second try of this bar, in as many weeks. I have been with 2 friend groups and we have all had similar opinions about our experiences. Very cool atmosphere and the venue is unique, however the drink menu is extremely expensive. That being said, food so far has been tasty and the pricing on the food menu seems to be more accurately based. The service both times has been the biggest flaw. We have had the same server both times and she has a very rude approach. It was difficult to order anything, she continuously slammed things down on the table (food and drink), and she took my drink away before I was finished with it. I wasn't even away from the table when she took it. If I have to pay 9$ for a 1oz cocktail, I want to drink it all....maybe even the ice for that price.
