Perro Negro - Victoria

The ambiance is lovely, the staff is fantastic, the food is delicious, and the cocktails are incredible! This is definitely one of my top three restaurants in Victoria! Just a heads-up: they don’t take reservations, so it's best to arrive early to get a table! This spot is a must-visit for both locals and tourists!

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for small plates and excellent wines. The dishes strike a wonderful balance between authentic Spanish flavors and non-Spanish fusion twists. The oysters were amazing—very different from East Coast varieties, with a wonderfully buttery texture. We loved it so much that we ended up visiting two days in a row!

The ambiance and service were lovely, but the food was just average. I prefer more robust flavors, and while the dishes were fresh and simple, they didn’t quite reach divine status for me.

We visited for the first time during Dine Around and really enjoyed it. We'll definitely be back!

Just a heads up: they don't take reservations, and the wait times can be quite lengthy. I went there on a Friday at 5:50 PM and was told the wait would be about an hour. I put my name on the waiting list and checked back in at 7:10 PM to see if our table was ready. The host informed us that we would need to wait even longer and even suggested we could dine elsewhere if we weren't happy with the wait. Our table was finally ready at 7:30 PM, meaning we waited 1 hour and 40 minutes instead of the estimated hour, which felt a bit excessive for my liking.
