Baan Thai - Victoria

Baan Thai is our go-to restaurant for Thai cuisine. They have an extensive menu with a wide variety of dishes. My wife orders the Phad Thai every single time we go because she is hopelessly addicted to it. The last three times we have eaten at Baan Thai, I have ordered the Moo Gratiem which is fried garlic pork on top of stir-fried bean sprouts and cilantro. I will admit to being a shameless addict to this dish as well. In the past, I have also ordered the Pra Ram Long Song which is a Thai version of beef stir-fry with snow peas and broccoli, etc., but they add the Thai influence of peanut sauce and chill sauce and it is absolutely knock-your-socks-off delicious. One thing you MUST do - order the fried chicken wings as an appetizer!!! I'm from the Deep South and I am honestly telling you that these chicken wings rival my grandma's fried chicken. You will be stunned. As an added bonus, the decor is very nice. Usually, I have noticed that many Asian restaurants often fall back on a very cookie cutter approach to decor. Pictures of mountains, pagodas, almost a Disney-fied version of Asian culture. Baan Thai however is very well decorated with a modern architectural flair yet still is able to express authentic Thai elements. It is just a very cool place and you will feel very comfortable during your dining experience.

Went there for lunch with my fiancé. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly. Service was very quick. The tea was amazing. Price is very reasonable. So glad we went to this place. Would love to be back next time we are in Victoria.

Oh my gosh, seriously cannot go wrong here. They had such a large menu (with photos too which was handy) and the food was DELICIOUS! I was served by the lovely Louisa who was very helpful at recommendations. I had the red curry with rice which was fantastic. Genuine Thai food! They also do takeaway and delivery which would be great if not wanting to leave the couch.

You will really eat some fabulous dishes at this restaurant.I can't even narrow down any recommendations.You will Not be disappointed. RUN GO NOW.

Great service,food pipeing hot,quaint little restaurant in strip mall.we ordered take out so patient in hospital could enjoy the tasty meal with us.If your in Victoria and like Thai food don't miss this spot
