Contribuiți la feedbackWe had very good experience in the place. Very cosy inside, nice quite music. The dishes are tasty and made from local products. And the prices are more then acceptable in compare with others. I recommend it a lot.
I am from the US, but lived in Vic for one year. I came to BCN for the first time in 10 years and took the train all the way to Vic to show my husband the Catalan culture. We decided to come here to try the octopus. I have health issues and can’t eat very much, so instead of wasting food, I usually eat a few bites from my husbands plate. To not be rude, I ordered a glass of wine I knew I would not drink. The owner came over and angrily told us we can’t stay unless we both ordered an entree because “this isn’t a bar”. I said “Ok, I’m sorry, I not hungry but I will also have the octopus and my husband will eat two plates”. He got all pissy and left. Then the waitress can and said twice in a row to me “this isn’t a bar” I said i understand it’s not a bar, we ordered two entrees”. She left without a word. She came back 2 minutes later with our meal. So literally the food was waiting for us before we arrived. It was slimy, cold, and gross. They wait staff was rude. It was overpriced. Please treat your customers and especially people who come to learn about Catalan culture and cuisine with respect! Now my husband believes this is typical for Catalan restaurants.
I wanted to have lunch with my parents and my 20-month old here today, on our day visit to Vic, so when I’ve enteren the restaurant, the host asked me how many we were. First I said “we’re 3”, and he was ready to escort us to the table, but when I added “and a child”, and he saw my father entering the restaurant with a stroller, he suddenly changed his mind saying “we don’t have place” and just leaving us standing there at the entrance. The restaurant was half empty at the moment, and his intention to give us a table, and his change of mind when he saw a child was so obvious, that I couldn’t even believe it. It was the first (and I hope the last! time I felt discriminated for having a child in my entire life. My mother who witnessed the conversation as she entered at the same time with me and doesn’t speak Spanish either couldn’t understand why that person changed his mind on giving us a table. The whole situation was so awkward and ugly that I hope it never happens again in my life, and don’t recommend this place for a visit for families with small children.
Volveremos
