Chips good, queso ok, salsa tastes like Tostitos out of the jar. The real kicker was, we ordered 2 medium margaritas. Nowhere close to a medium size, tasted no alcohol at all, and they charged us $12 apiece! No drink menu. $65 for two w/only one marg each that were waaay sub par. Don 't think we 'll be back.
Great food and large portions. Excellent spicy salsa. Waiters were great and attentive. Food was extremely fast. Only cons: there was an overwhelming smell of cleaner (Fabuloso? that was very unpleasant; and there is a lack of color and festive art, everything was gray.
Just trying Grand Cantina for my first time. I had the al pastor street tacos that came with the best charro beans I've ever had. The meat in the tacos was tender and flavorful with an occasional bite of pineapple. My husband ordered the Grand Steak ribeye and shrimp entree. To our surprise, it was a thick cut ribeye cooked perfectly to temp. It was not your typical thin steak you normally get at a basic Mexican restaurant. The Horchata even tasted homemade. The food was plated nicely and we are overall impressed. Looking forward to trying more menu items on our next visit.
First time to eat at this unique Mexican restaurant. So clean and great atmosphere, not the standard kitchy theme but fresh and welcoming! Food is VERY good, chips thin and crispy, salsas are made fresh. Try the house margaritas! Prices were good as well. Friendly staff and the owner was interacting with all his guests. Finally! We found a Mexican restaurant to enjoy near 280 that checks all the boxes!
Went there for the first time last night. Friendly and well staffed restaurant with a nice open friendly vibe. Place is not massive but has plenty of room. Chips get a A+ light and thin. Salsa had good flavor and Queso comes out in a large bowl. Pro move they give you two small bowls along with it to have your own. Margaritas are expensive but really good. Went for the Presidenté which packs a wallop. Nicely presented in a heavy salted glass. Chicken tacos were outstanding. When I saw them come out wrapped in foil I was like man I hate that. Soggy taco but once I opened it up to eat it was great. Chicken was chopped up and the cheese had melted. It was fire. Went with the Chorizo Enchiladas. They were good. Chorizo on top almost had a sweet flavor like a Molé sauce but were well presented. Quesadilla came out for my wife. It was massive. I might even say had way to much in it. Other couple got the Grande Chicken. Came out sizzling on a fajita platter with a shrimp skewer and some rice and veggies. Staff was very attentive throughout and the hype man up front checked on us several times. Overall good spot and would recommend trying it for a change up or even a permanent switch.
