Contribuiți la feedbackCousin Aldo Morassutti has the most beautifully hidden gem of a 5 star establishment in Gradiscutta, Friuli. Each course was more delicious than the next and the service was beyond our expectations!! Wine pairings were carefully selected which was the icing on the cake !! Thank you for such a memorable luncheon and a visit from cousins from Toronto. Cannot wait to tell all and return next year. Ciao for now Aldo !
I have visited this restaurant every time I go to this little community to see my friends who own an Atelier di Profumo right across the street. Toni and his family have owned and operated this gem for more than 3 decades, and the food, service and hospitality is top notch. I have to say, I have had some of my best meals here. They are consistently excellent: The food is made with exquisite and meticulous care, and only the best ingredients and quality of products are used. Toni even got me to like polenta one year, just by putting some amazing mushrooms on top! But for this most recent visit, my girlfriend and I had a homemade cheese dressed with a delectable fig mustard (who would have known fig and mustard seeds would go together? followed by the special o the week (timing is everything ...shaved white truffles on top of the most tender ever, homemade fettuccini. We ate this while my filet mignon was being grilled on the fireplace in the center of the dining room. I complimented the chef as that filet mignon practically melted in my mouth, and was full of wonderful flavor....unlike many filets I’ve had in the past. The decor of the restaurant is traditional upscale Italian of this region of Fruili, and not a spot of dust or stain can be seen. I have been told that people as far away as Austria and Venice come here for this experience, and I know why. I highly recommend that if you are visiting Venice, it is worth driving about 1 hour northeast to this village and have a meal. You will feel like you’ve been to heaven’s restaurant.
The venue is great. Patio dining superb on a warm summer day. Interior unique, and comfortable. But it's the food and service that makes this restaurant worth visiting. Take the owner's advice on food, drink some of the local wines, probably with Da Toni's label, and enjoy a fabulous meal. The unhurried service is great, meals are well paced, and the food is fresh as it could be. Do take the time to visit.
Very cozy and warm place, characterized by the friulani onion fireplace, professional and kind staff, excellent cuisine, special roast-beef risotto with finishing on the fireplace. Recommended
Beautiful environment, friendly and prepared staff, good wine paper, traditional dishes with genuine taste and yet with refined filling. Congratulations
