The Roof Restaurant & Bar - Vancouver

Waitress was very impolite and made our dinner not that great.

Went to Notch 8 for the pop art high tea theme and it was excellent! My friends and I loved the food, atmosphere, and wonderful treatment. Cristina and Serge are true professionals and gave such a kind and impeccable service. My friends and I are looking forward to coming again for having such a great experience.

My experience at this restaurant yesterday was not great. The server was nice, but the chef left what appeared to be pieces of scouring pads in the tagliatelle. The pasta was too oily and overall not enjoyable. Even though they didn't charge for the meal, it seemed like the dish was made quickly and without attention to detail.

I ordered two eggs and bacon with sourdough toast at the restaurant. They tried to pass off their white bread as sourdough, even though it was clearly just regular white bread shaped like sourdough. It would have been better if they just admitted they were out of sourdough. Perhaps their chef mistakenly believes he is making sourdough and is unaware of the difference? I was very disappointed, especially considering this is the main restaurant of a supposedly good hotel.

Slow service, mediocre food, lots of options for the buffet but nothing of good quality.
