Contribuiți la feedbackDhaba opened early october and we (John & Ted) stopped by for lunch after spotting their sandwich board street ad. We tried the Butter chicken and Eggplant Bharta wraps with fresh garlic naan. We thought we had "died and gone to heaven" the flavors were so good. Since then we have been 3 times for dinner. The butter chicken, eggplant bharta and ali gobi are our favourite dishes. A nice thing about each dish is the flavors are distinct which is not always the case in some other Indian restaurants we visit. The garlic naan is made fresh and is one of the best we have tried. Your hosts Dal and Jay are a delight, the service great and the surroundings warm & welcoming. They have yet to flesh out their liquor selection but plan to feature BC wine and beer. Dhaba is a welcome addition to the Main/Broadway dining experience.
Chicharron ($12): Rating: 4.5/5 This dish featured three large pieces of crispy pork belly served with yam puree. The pork belly was crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and glazed with a sweet sauce. The yam puree was smooth and sweet, complementing the pork well. Pollo Crema Empanadas ($18): Rating: 3.5/5 These empanadas were filled with smoked chicken and served with a side salad. The crust was flaky and tender, and the chicken had a nice smokey flavor. However, it was a bit dry, possibly due to the use of breast meat. Summary: Food: 4/5 Price: 3.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Overall: 3.5/5 Recommendation: Chicharron

Went there during dineout, pretty busy, and we have to finish fast cz the next reservation is coming. Their seafood is much better than pork or beef.
Chicha has been on my radar for a very long time now, and I thought what better way to get an introduction that experiencing their Dine Out Vancouver 2016 menu. With DoV, sometimes I feel that menus don’t reflect the talent of the restaurant itself, but when I was going through the list of menus for this year’s DoV, Chicha stood out with it’s creative and authentic menu offerings.
