Sushi Go - Vancouver

I usually order a party tray to go. I call Sushi Go 20 minutes before my pick up time, and my order is ready. Their prices were updated recently, but still reasonable.

This is a neighbourhood sushi restaurant in the Champlain Heights area in the southeastern most of the city of Vancouver. It is in the Champlain Shopping Plaza next to Starbucks.This is one of the very few Japanese-run sushi shop. Though they are not spectacular, they have maintained the quality of sushi for more than, I believe, ten years. Initially it started as "take-out only" sushi shop, but nowadays it is possible to eat in. However, it is not at all a sushi restaurant to enjoy dining experience. It offers basically sushi and shimi only.Overall quality of the sushi offering here is quite good for the price.

This is not my favourite sushi place and I only used to go there when a colleague of mine wanted to go because she likes the yam tempura rolls. They are the best we've had. I find this place too pricey, portions small, the atmosphere not friendly enough and the other dishes rather bland and nothing to write home about. It wouldn't take much for them to improve. Smiling, connecting and saying thank you costs nothing.

The salmon and tuna sushi is so thin here you can see through it. Nowhere else have I ever seen sushi where if you pick it up off the rice you can then see right through it!Interestingly enough this Mall restaurant gets a lot of take out business. Never going back. Staff are stiff are monotone, cement floor . . . . disappointing

We live close by to Champlain mall and go here a few times a month here. Seems to be made by authentic Japanese chefs. Food is pretty good ; price is reasonable. I would give this place 3-1/2 stars if there is such a rating. We usually have take out, saves on tips, but of course they have a "tips" cup if you feel compelled to leave them something.
