Strathcona Beer Company - Vancouver

Enjoyed visiting this place while doing a brewery tour. Really loved the beer and the pizza is as good as they say. These guys really know their beer - well, they brew it and sell it if you wanna take some home. Loved the modern decor. Would be fun with a large group of friends. Entirely worth dropping by.

Great IPA at great prices. Try a flight so you can taste a few. Location is easy to get to and is sprucing up the neighborhood. Have not had a meal here yet but I will be back as I have heard great things.

We'd passed by the Strathcona Beer Company on our trips to and from our AirBNB on Venables; it's hard to miss the colourful building on an otherwise visually dull street. So one evening we walked across Commercial to Hastings and over to Strathcona for a bite to eat. Inside, it looks more like a lively diner than a craft beer tasting room. The place was lively with talk and movement, and pretty full. It was a Saturday night. We sat at the bar, after ordering my guest IPA (SuperFlux?) and my daughter's cherry infused ale. We shared a kale salad: it was big, fresh and with the juilienned apple, light and tasty. After the salad, we shared a hot and spicy diavola pizza. I recognized the jalapeno pepper slices but thought they'd lose their bite after cooking. Not true. The pizza was so hot we were laughing in pain and the ale wasn't helping. So much fun.Strathcona Beer Company has to be one of the best spots for great craft beer and a fun lively meal. It's totally casual and the servers are attentive and friendly. Check it out.

Visited Strathcona Beer Company on our first night in Vancouver traveling from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, so awake for quite some time. SBC was exactly what we were looking for, a good beer and a pizza :)! I think they brew the beers themselves? Eitherway, the Vienna beer and 'something-gold' were nice, as was the feature pizza with spicy salami and honey drizzle! We were half asleep, but enjoyed it. Staff was friendly and the place had a nice Friday evening vibe going on. Would definately visit again.

My wife & I were visiting Vancouver recently to see family. My sister and her husband suggested we try Strathcona for lunch. We both love going to brewpubs and sampling local craft beer. Well, let me tell you, it was a brilliant suggestion. The beer was fabulous and the pizza was one of the best we'd had since our trip to Italy a few years ago.
