Celebrated our anniversary a couple of weeks ago with dinner here, now I can hardly wait to go back! My husband chose from the prix-fixe Menu which offers 3 courses for a very reasonable $36. He chose the Tomato Basil Soup, Confit Duck Ravioli and Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta. I tasted his soup and ravioli and have to say they were both perfect. I chose from the regular menu and started with the Kale and Goat Cheese salad. It was crisp and flavorful and a wonderful start to my meal, though a little pricey at $15. For my main course I chose the Linguine Con Vongole. First I should tell you that all the pasta at Siena is freshly made. It was a tough choice because one of the specials was a dish with mussels. I love mussels, but the recommendation from our server had me opting for the clam sauce. Well, I was not disappointed! It may well have been the best linguine with clam sauce that I've ever had. The clams were the stars of the dish, but the linguine was cooked perfectly with just the right texture and kissed with garlic. At $22, I have no complaints because the flavor was spectacular and the portion generous. For dessert I selected the Warm Spiced Fig Cake. That cake was unlike anything I've ever had, and I've had some pretty delicious cake in my lifetime. Seriously, that cake was sinfully delicious! I love figs, but I think anyone would enjoy that slice of heaven on a plate! It's similar in spice to gingerbread, but on steroids, covered with a fresh made toffee sauce that makes you want to sing! Really, save room for dessert and order the fig cake. If that doesn't sound good to you, then get the Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta. My husband loved it, but I snagged a bite and it was delightful. Creamy and not too sweet, covered with berries, it's a delicious way to end your meal. There were many tempting choices on the menu, surely something for everyone. The restaurant is cozy, comfortably seating about 40, but we didn't feel crowded. We were glad we had reservations because every table and the bar seating was taken. Our server knew the menu and daily specials well enough to answer every question and make recommendations. Service was excellent. Owner, Rob Fai, was friendly and generous in his attention to all the guests. Oh, and try a bottle of 3 Rings wine. Cool, Crisp and refreshing, it was perfect with our meal. Siena is our new favorite restaurant when in Vancouver.

Just around the corner from the Stanley Theatre on GranvilleGood mix of menu and good wine listHad Lindsay as our server and she was delightful as well as efficient!!That evening they were offering 15% off your food bill if you had Theatre tickets!!How nice is that??We would definitely do that again!Parking available at a few spots very closeby
Googled for the top 10 restaurants in Vancouver, Siena was mentioned a few times in different top 10 surveys. On the table we had the pasta of the day, grilled foccaia bread, arugula salad & shared a fig cake and a panna cotta for dessert. Everything was delicious but the fig cake was the absolute highlight. The staff was professional, our waitress was bubbly and attentive. A definite must try when youʻre in Vancouver.
