Amazing news!!<br/ I've been Vancouver location several times so far. Tasty every time, but to be honest, presentation is much better in Calgary location.<br/
Chasing chickens: Cola recommended the breakfast poutines, which I had my eyes on already. My poutine came with poached eggs, duck fat fried herb potatoes, Saint Cyrille curds, smoked pulled chicken, and brown butter hollandaise. This was heaven in a bite. The duck fat fried potatoes did not disappoint, they had a nice flavour and aroma to it that was different than other potatoes I’ve had.
It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten at OEB Breakfast Co. This was back where it originated, in good ‘ol Cowtown. They’ve finally expanded and made their way out to Vancouver. It’s next door to Provence Marinaside. We dropped in on a Sunday for brunch (around 11:00am) and it was packed. Just like how it is at all their other locations. Luckily, we just woke up early and entered into the virtual wait line. Still, expect a 2 hour wait. They send you a text when your table is ready (with a 10 minute window to get there). Service is friendly and they came by several times to refill coffee and waters.
We have heard a lot about OEB Breakfast Co. before they come to Vancouver, so naturally, we were excited to see them opening a new restaurant here. OEB Breakfast Co. has been operating in Calgary for over 10 years and won a lot of awards. Because this place is so famous, there is typically a long wait, especially on weekends. They have an app for reservation, but if it gets too busy, you won’t be able to get a reservation with the app. OEB Breakfast Co. is located on Marina Crescent, Yaletown.
[4.5/5] Quite impressed with all dishes tasted and would describe them as 'texture book perfect ' for the quality of ingredients and cooking. The 'Gold Digga ' was beyond expectation as a breakfast poutine dish, nicely elevated with all the little details on visuals, flavours texture. The 'Rabbit Benny ' and the 'Chia Seed Pudding ' also shined on the OEB 's wide spectrum of breakfast. It 's no surprise that the restaurant has conquered Alberta, and now is moving on in BC. Vancouver is a city where everyone loves breakfast and brunch, and OEB sure knows how to hit a home run.
