Mahony's Tavern False Creek - Vancouver

Sure Vancouvers going through a cold spell but this is the coldest I’ve ever been inside any food or beverage establishment in my life. Ya I know, high ceilings, lots of glass but you have to provide the basics for your patrons ie heat! Food arrived hot but cooled off quickly. We tried changing spots to see if there was heat somewhere else… nope. The glass surround around the natural glass fireplace also ice cold even with your hand on the glass. Servers agreed but had nothing to offer. I also noted the front double outside entry doors were left open the entire What gives? I won’t be going back this winter.

An amazing place with good service and good menu. The best thing is the place, which is really a tavern! Beautiful decoration, highly recommended!

Came by on a Saturday and ordered dinner with no drinks. The service and ambience are great as always but the food is very subpar. The Westcoast Bowl had no texture the pickled cucumber was sliced very thin, the tofu was untreated and cold, the rice was bland, and everything was very overdressed.My partner ordered the Steak Frites medium rare and received very well done. The fries were beyond salty and the salad was over dressed. Unfortunately, there was nothing redeeming about the meal.

Good food, good quality, tried their chicken burger with fries and it was delicious. Also chicken wings as starter and that was delicious too.

Coming to this restaurant is always a treat! The decor and the view out into the river are topped only by the staff's friendliness.
