Contribuiți la feedbackI give this 4 strictly for food quality. everything we ordered was good! / especially the bitter melone and the bark with rice, it had a lot of wok power that they can really taste. even my mother, who came from hk, felt like she had brought this court back to her hometown! The sommes were large and full of shrimps. the bark soup bark was tender and noodles were bouncy. / the -1 point goes to the slow arrival of our food and cleanliness.
We (my mother and I) were in the opposite and went to lunch and showed us a little early. the personal was inside but unprepared so that we ended with waiting ~10 mins past the opening time to together with a few other groups. we were already at kwong chow once after a friend had addressed us, and we loved the bouquet. also the dongpo swarm with dried senf was great! this time we wanted to have the bouquet again, but when we were there, it wasn't on the menu and the waitress said they had no. I wish they were so told on their website (the menu there has a section on tight, fairly safe, it is where the menu on zomato is out).Instead, we ordered a dish each from the lunch combo menu. for $7~9, they can choose a bowl of congee, noodles or a plate of rice with meat / vegetables (they choose according to the menu; many choices, the price varies) that with their choice of coffee, tee or suppe (only broth, no solid inside). now we simply say, my ears have failed LOL I have received the next item on the menu, sorted bark. an interesting surprise, it was almost what I wanted, except for two discs, which my mother later identified as lunge. it was strange, but not too bad. species of liver fiber, but gentler, less dense, and with a rough texture than leber. the noodles were the kind that contained backseide and some of these aromen went into the suppe. the suppe also tasted from suji, a vegetarian chickensous product similar to to tofu,) which is an interesting note (my mother insists that they put left over broth from the cooking of suji into the suppe. now, who knows. at the end I still got the bark meat species that I had gone because it was included in the sortiments'. yayMy mother ordered, not sure what is in English on the menu, but it's something like lo bok and brisket reis. concrete on reis. there it was, so much. reisn. probably 2.5 dishes as they might expect, she didn't finish it. the meat and the meat were also plentiful. The suppe that came with the combo (we both have chosen) was warmed up and had some cervical aroma in it I could not identify. something between minty and sour, but not unpleasant.Overall, it is not a beautiful place (see the decoration,) especially if they go only for the lunch combination, but I have enjoyed my meal and with a full bauch / I hope they can have been added again. the waitress has not thought of the situation, so I don't know whether it was only for today or in the long term.
After my aunt's physiotherapists , we drop in to Kwong Chow Noodle house for lunch , it is traditional Cantonese style Noodle and Congee food , it is not high quality in food and service , not much a de cor , but comfort quick food , not pricy and they have a good selection o f Lunch Special under $20 , Congee under $10 , my aunt's Fish Congee so thick like MASH POTOTES ! holy moly , lot of MSG , so I sent it back , the lady owner nice about it , the re-make very nice and tasty , lot different them the first one ??????????? my lunch special Black bean Sparerib noodle very flavourful and meaty , the spice squid is over fried , little dry , also the spicy Tofu nicely done , over all , if you do not mind the MSG , hit and miss food , average services , this place not too bad for lunch , good value . they open 11 am , underground parking available .
Our flight didn't land until almost 9 PM. Our friends picked us up and whisked us downtown to one of their favorite restaurants Kwong Chow. The food was very good and plentiful and the prices are very reasonable. I believe they are open until the early hours of the morning.
We went for a stroll on the Main Street in Vancouver and was planning to check out the Toshi Sushi Restaurant on Main and 16th Ave. The popular Toshi Sushi Restaurant had a large waiting crowd and as we did not have the time, we went to the Kwong Chow Congee Noodle House for dinner. This is an old establishment which is well known for the Cantonese style Congee and Noodle. The food and service were ok and we enjoyed our food good and affordable. This is a good place for late supper as the restaurant closes around 2am.
