A charming room in a heritage house set the right tone for the night. Our Brie appetizer set the bar high and the rest of the meal lived up to the expectations. My husband had the spaghetti bolognese with HOMEMADE pasta and I had the beef tenderloin. Yum yum. Topped off the meal with the Pavlova. A wonderful experience that was really great value for our dining dollar.
My partner and I chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner, and we were not disappointed. Located slightly off Cambie Street in a charming little house, the restaurant has a lot of character and is beautifully decorated. The owner and chef, Sarah, is friendly and took the time to personally speak with us. The bartender, Graeme, was also very nice. The cocktails were fantastic, and the food was delicious. I ordered the Spaghetti Bolognese, which was amazing, and my partner loved the Steak dish. We will definitely be returning in the future. If you have the opportunity, you must try this restaurant - you won't regret it.
A word of caution: be careful not to find your name on the list of cocktails, as each one is delicious but named after someone who has irritated the owner. It's a clever touch that adds to the charm of the place, and provides a new way to vent frustrations (we might just name a cocktail after that annoying coworker). Overall, we highly recommend paying a visit to this restaurant - you will be pleasantly surprised.
My friend took me to this restaurant last Tuesday. From the outside, it doesn't appear to be a restaurant as it is a single family home located on a quiet street. Chef Sarah Kashani informed us that she had completely renovated the place to fulfill her dream of opening a restaurant, and the result is a charming, cozy, and sophisticated space. Sarah and her staff live in the building, making it feel like a truly authentic and non-corporate dining experience. It felt like being in Europe. The meal and cocktails we had were delicious, with the standout being the steak infused with wine. Sarah took the time to explain the unique and lengthy preparation process. We also enjoyed a very tasty salad that I could never hope to replicate. I highly recommend visiting this place and will definitely be returning in the future.
