Hub Restaurant - Vancouver

The Hub Restaurant is located on Mainland StVancouver, which is right across the street from the Yaletown Skytrain Station.

We eat in out in Yaletown a lot so I was excited to check this place out but was very disappointedService was very amateur and food not much better.

This is just another one of those mediocre over-priced Yaletown places.

The 3 of us wanted a nice lunch in February on a Saturday early afternoon and two of us (me included) have enjoyed the one in New Westminster many times these past few years. It was not busy (less than 8 others in the place.) The service was awful: one entire order was wrong, the server argued with my friend when my friend said the order was wrong. The food wasn't even close to what she ordered. My friend ordered hash and a roast beef sandwich came. My friend asked to see the manager or someone and she hissed back loudly: "There's no manager on weekends"! Later my friend said she was not paying for her wrong order as it would be an additional 20 or more minutes and we were almost finished and she had gotten nothing. My friend asked politely again if she could talk to someone and the woman, even louder, replied: I SAID there is NO MANAGER on weekends"! There were other issues. Say goodbye to us.

We went for appetizers tonight to the Hub and tried a couple of things on their "Happy hour special." The Beef tacos were 2 for $4. the Braised beef $4. And along with a couple of beers which were also $4 a pint. The appies were very tasty and the beer was really good , perfect with our food. We met the manager Gable who was very friendly and kind. Great staff , nice place , we will definetly return. Thanks guys, see you soon.
