Cholay Bhature was good enough, the Cholay were properly cooked and were soft to eat. The spices in the gravy was balanced and the the gravy tasted good. Even the Saag had the proper proportion of green vegetable and other ingredients. Overall, we had a decent meal and will recommend you this place.
I absolutely adore the samosas at this restaurant. The sweets are delicious as well. If only they had a location closer to downtown Vancouver, this place could be incredibly popular!
We stopped by this restaurant for a quick dinner on our way to the ferry. We opted for the Indian buffet, which offered a variety of popular Indian dishes. The restaurant was clean and the service was friendly. We would definitely dine here again.
Earlier in the evening we had our Persian kebabs at Daddy's Delight, and a walk around King George Park. Now it was time for dessert. We remained on the corner of No. 5 Road and Cambie in east Richmond, across the street though again in a strip mall anchored by a larger Shoppers Drug Mart. Himalaya Sweets is a throw back to a simpler time in restaurant decor. It actually reminds me of the Chinese-Canadian restaurants that dotted the prairie provinces in the latter part of the last century, with their basic appearance, friendly service, and the all-you-can-eat buffet.
Good Homestyle Indian. The buffet at Himalaya reminds me of eating dinner at my Indian buddy 's house, and his mom is an awesome cook!<br/ <br/ Anytime I can find an Indian buffet that includes fresh made naan and samosas, I jump at the chance to try it. Himalaya has the best samosas I 've had in a long time, maybe ever. The buffet is not as extensive as some 'fine dining ' indian joints, but everything is good and tastes fresh. The butter chicken is great , but in general the buffet is more vegetable based. Not a bad thing. Especially when it 's obvious the mixed veg curry is hand cut fresh carrots and potatoes, not frozen from a bag like a lot of places.<br/ Im a tandoori chicken freak, so was a bit sad it wasn 't on the buffet. <br/ Laid back atmosphere, and super friendly family run feeling make this place very comfortable. Never feel rushed to leave, and they always offer more naan and samosas. <br/ Probably the best $14 meal in Richmond.
