Hapa Izakaya - Vancouver

One word: "wow". Hapa has a great menu, lots of really different choices, very well prepared. An open kitchen with hard working Japanese cooks, which is nice to watch. Great service and personal advices, Nana, we loved your enthusiasm: thank you!We wished this restaurant also would set foot in the Netherlands!

Happy hours ! tout le monde m'avait dit c'est 50% sur les prix habituels, eh bien non, ce n'est pas ça. C'est une carte réduite avec des prix soit disant réduits, mais en fait vous n'en avez que pour vos 50%%, vous ne faites aucune bonne affaire !les portions sont minuscules et le vin proposé est tout juste buvable; sinon, c'était agréable d’être sur la terrasse; service efficace et souriant sauf en ce qui concerne un de nos plats qui a été oubliés.

The Service, the Food and the ambiance was all fantastic! I had two Caesar drinks that were soooo goooood. The lobster roll and dynamite roll were very delicious! the wasabi is just perf! It's a sharing atmosphere so we shared everything. We also had a noodle dish and the ribs and not to mention the Ahi Tuna Sashimi!!!!

I don't think I've ever finished a meal and still had no idea who our server was. We had 4 different people come to our table to perform the requisite functions (take an order...though we had to flag someone down to do this, bring the food, bring the check, etc) but none of them actually appeared to care enough to be our server. Further, one person in our group got their food at least ten minutes before the rest of us. The food was fine, but I'm certain there are places with better food and MUCH better service in Yaletown. Overall a disappointment and would not recommend.

We enjoyed Hapa. The food was all good, was interesting and well presented. Prices were good value considering the quality. One of our wait staff was very good, the other was average. But highly recommended for the food and overall vibe
