Dukes On Broadway Cafe - Vancouver

Had a ham and brie sandwich staff were so pleasant really made me feel at home. Would recommend and RE visit!

We had breakfast here and liked it very much. They seem to do a brisk take-out business in addition to dine-in.

My son and I went to Duke's for breakfast last Saturday morning around 7:30 am. We were actually the only ones in the place. I wonder if that should have given us a clue. Anyway we both ordered the Blue Plate Breakfast, the normal two eggs any style, hash browns, baked beans, sausage or bacon and toast. After waiting for 15 minutes the food was served. The eggs were over easy as well as over done. The hash browns were stone cold. the tiny amount of beans was no better. The sausage we ordered were the two little links about two inches long without casings that had been cut in half lengthwise to make it seen as if you had four little sausages instead of two. Theses were also cold. The toast which looked quite tasty unfortunately seemed to have been warmed in a microwave so were chewy and rubbery. Don't ask me how they did it. Obviously they aren't used to having two customers arrive looking for a decent breakfast. As I said, we were the only two customers in the restaurant and now I know why.

The place is small with seven or eight tables, but most of the traffic was there to grab and go. Porridge for breakfast?.Yup. And they serve it up so well. We discovered this gem late into our one-week visit and returned every morning still available. I knew something was strange when I watched them cook their own whole hams instead of unwrapping a package. We laughed at their waffle sandwich for breakfast and had to try it. Better than anything you will find at any fast food outlet. We'll search Dukes out the next time we're in town.

I go here for breakfast and the breakfast sandwhiches for 4$ are delicious so is the hot chocolate and breakfast plates for 7$ which includes two eggs, toast, hash, beans and bacon or sausages. would definitely return friendly service too!
