Contribuiți la feedbackShopping in the Robson/Burrard area on a Saturday and looking for food at 2pm. So glad we caught the weekend brunch at Coast. I was pleasantly surprised with the crab and roasted pepper bennys. Although I must say the tater tots reminded me of the frozen ones.... The Ariel was a nice bubbly mid afternoon drink. The $10 benny special is a good bang for your buck especially given the nice establishment in the downtown core with professional staff. Would definitely come back.
We went to Coast recently for happy hour. They have an extensive menu with lots of great options and large portions perfect for sharing. Oysters are a great deal although the sizes of them seemed to vary quite significantly. Service was excellent, even with us sitting outside on the patio.
I took my bf here for a celebration. It’s a bit pricey but we really enjoyed our meal. For appys, we had a few oysters, hamachi and toro nigri and tuna sashimi. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The main course took awhile and our waiter Brandon actually brought us some sushi rolls to compensate for the waiting time. For the main course, I ordered the maple sablefish and bf ordered the scallops. The sablefish was absolutely divine. It was very tender and well worth the wait. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back :
Great service, I always feel super welcomed every time I go. The food is also spectacular. Always fresh oysters, happy hour menu is amazing. The crab dip is to die for, the kale hearts and brussel sprouts are also very good. Beef carparccio is very tender and fresh with edamame beans which I lovee, I do however wish the bread which comes with it was a bit softer. The chefs special roll is always fresh and very good each time I’ve been. And the taco is probably one of the best tacos I’ve ever had!
I met up with Q this week for a long due catch up date. We made it with one minute to spare, so we managed to get a drink order in at their Cocktail Hour pricing. What we drank: White Sangria $5 – during Happy Hour). This was pretty standard, personally I prefer the sangria at West Oak. What I ate: Thai Coconut Curry mussels – lemongrass, ginger, chili, lime $21.95)
