Contribuiți la feedbackThe staff were friendly and the food was great. I had the salmon and onion rings. The batter was fresh and light, not too greasy. The fish was fresh, too. The fish was at a reasonable price for one big fish.
The fish and chips is tasty. I tried the salmon. It's very nice. Fries are fine. There is vinegar and pepper available. The place, the market is very nice. There are publics tables available for eating. Another good thing is that, with all the restaurants, there is no smell.
I was really hoping to head up to Grouse and do the Grind on my day off last week but the weather kinda put a damper on all of us so we decided to skip it. Of course, it being Vancouver and all, the weather cleared up shortly after so in the afternoon we head out to Granville Island instead. It’s not Grouse but it’s another “G” that’ll do. It was late afternoon and I wasn’t really planning on eating but it’s kinda hard not to when you’re in the food court at Granville Island. I was in the mood for fish and chips. Celine’s Fish and Chips is located in the food court on Johnston. There were a lot of people lining up when we ordered so I mistook that as a good sign. Turns out, everyone was just waiting for their food because it took a while to come out. It seems to be run by Vietnamese people. On a summertime visit to Granville Island with our pup, we grabbed some food from Celine’s Fish and Chips in the Public Market. Nothing says summer more than enjoying fried food outdoors… and our pup just loves french fries.
It's not bad, it ain't Moby Dick's , but it ain't bad. I've always found that everyone on Granville Island is a little over-priced sometimes. For example, I will never, EVER, eat at the Chinese take-out there. For a three item combo, I pay nearly $3.00 mo
