Canra Sri Lankan Plus - Vancouver

Ok, this is in a mall and the mall is not the cleanest mall in the world. This Sri Lankan place is in the food court and it is very clean from what I saw. The food is freshly cooked to order and is authentic. The chef even gave me a taster to check that it was spicy enough!! If you want something different, worth going for this. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.

My son and I were off to watch a movie at Cineplex and he suggested Canra given that he has two very good friends who are brothers from Sri Lankan descent. We were amazed with what we ate. The mango lassies were delicious and I ate a healthy and wonderful vegan meal while my son also ate some barbecued chicken with vegetables and rice. The cook was kind and friendly, providing an interesting atmosphere. I would recommend checking out the menu and trying this restaurant out, it is much more than it appears.

The food was so amazing, we actually bought food twice! The owners were kind enough to provide two dishes outside the menu for our child. This was the first time I experienced such a friendly and personalized service. I recommend this hidden gem for anyone who likes Asian food and is interested in trying authentic Sri Lankan food.

We have been going to this food court gem at International Village for many years. It is consistently good. the food is terrific. this last visit we had the chicken roti medium spice level. just served spicy, temp hot and very good. family run. you gotta eat here.
