Bambo Cafe & Deli Ltd - Vancouver

I stopped here as I was browsing the neighbourhood for a suitable place to have a quick lunch. There was a good variety on the menu for different dietary preferences. I had the vegetarian minestrone soup and smoked salmon, sun-dried tomato, lettuce sandwich. The food was as very good. The sandwich bread was gently toasted and fluffy. The salmon came in strips as opposed to a mayo blend. So it looked very appetizing. The minestrone was rich with veggies and an interesting but very tasty spice. I noticed an espresso machine and decided to put their specialty coffee to the test by ordering a cappuccino for as my dessert. It was excellent, served in a ceramic mug. Service was excellent. Very friendly and warm. I also bought a spinach filo twister to take with me. It was wonderful. Very much like my mom makes it, resembling balkan pita and burek in taste and texture. They also had cheese twisters. The ambiance in casual, with seating along the shop windows and away from the windows.

I've been here a few times and all their sandwiches are amazing! I've had the real crab meat, chicken pesto, roast beef, and smoked salmon sandwiches. They were all fantastic. I think the roast beef is my favourite! Delicious!

The best sandwiches in Gastown! Try vegetarian #7 with eggs on top. Yummy! The owners are really nice people. My #1 place for a lunch time!

Hands down, best omelet I have ever eatin (ham, cheese and mushroom). Perfect little place for a breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff, good food, good prices and good portions. What more can you ask for?
