Contribuiți la feedbackI have seen many people raving about the delicious desserts at Bake49 on Instagram, so I was eager to finally give it a try. Last Saturday, I convinced my fiance to accompany me to this Japanese bakery located on Mainland St in Vancouver's Yaletown area. Situated across from Earls, Bake49 specializes in cheese tarts and has quickly gained popularity, with long lineups out the door since its opening. We were lucky to arrive right when it opened at 1pm and didn't have to wait in line to place our order. We decided to try the Croquant Choux, a crunchy almond-crust pastry filled with vanilla bean custard creme. The exterior was crispy and slightly sweet, while the vanilla bean interior had a rich yet not overly sweet flavor that I enjoyed, as I am not a fan of overly sweet desserts. Although the prices at Bake49 are a bit on the higher side, such as the Sapporo style Japanese cheese tarts at $3.80 each or 6 for $19, I believe that the quality justifies the cost. I look forward to returning to Bake49 to sample more of their offerings and highly recommend it to fellow dessert lovers.
We sampled the cheese tart and cream puff. Both were quite enjoyable, though not particularly unforgettable or irresistible. If we happen to be nearby, we may stop in again. The tarts are especially delicious when served warm.
The drinks and desserts were delicious! they were not so overly sweet, just the right amount sweet! best were the waiters friendly, so I guess that's the best part? I'd like to go back! I want to try all the different aromes of brot!
I like to load this with taking the lack of engagement between personal customers, I know that it could be because it take away (take out) just, but I think it could be better, even it is limited when ordering, except I enjoy the sorts. btw, check the open hours as it is only open for a few hours.
Long line. feels bad when the person before them erases the totality of an article. that said the tarts were good and his packaging was also multi-layered and fantasies. the cheesecake was very delicious, with different textures and a beautiful balance of aromen. Premium Award for Premium Quality.
