I started with the bad apple camp and afteros. 100% delicious. then the speck cheeseburger for my head and I am a great young can they believe that at 6’6 250 muscles I pack back the food and this meal had me stuffed for a few hours to say that is little in not much of a socialite, but I can say from the atmosphere that this is a great local vegan place where from the city dwellers and visiting me will feel very cool as well
Happy that this replaced Whats Up! Order from the Happy Hour menu and get yourself an INCREDIBLE DEAL! I had the BA Burger, chilli cheese fries and the house lager... I was stuffed and so happy. I will be back to try everything else. I need to try the chkn n waffles.
If you’re looking for a vegan dive bar in Vancouver, THIS is your spot! It’s grubby (in all the right ways), the food is greasy (and delicious), and the service is amazing. Can’t go wrong!
We love bad apple, it’s definitely not a healthy spot but has a few options the kale caeser is really good! Have tried a bunch of stuff and while we have favourites all of its been really good! The venue is divey with a charm so don’t go with high expectations on that! But the cheap drinks and good happy hour makes up for it, the waffle fries are great. The impossible burger was the only time I’ve enjoyed that burger patty as I trust them as a fully vegan venue. The Caesar was the best I’ve tried in Vancouver too and our server asked about our liquor preference. They make a few things in house too I think seitan, bacon and cheese so that’s impressive for a tiny joint! They also have a good covid patio that we sat out on a rainy day and stayed dry! The avocado blt has a honourable mention.
Bacon cheeseburger was slightly disappointing given how little patty there was for a $20 burger. Patty was good. Bacon (which I think is made from rice paper) was delicious. House-made cashew cheddar was ok, but I didn't think it was better than store-bought vegan cheeses like Daiya or Violife. Overall, it was a 7/10 burger. Waffle fries were great. Avocado BLT was much better, but the filling-to-bread ratio was still a bit disappointing for the price. Seasonal green salad was really yummy (never thought that Mandarin oranges could work so well in a salad). While the food was fairly good, I doubt I will come back often because of the price.
