El Mexicano Mexican Restaurant

The Mexican food was okay, but enjoyable. The service was excellent. The only suggestion would be for the staff to pay a little more attention to cleaning the chairs and tables. Additionally, we were served water in a dirty glass, so it would be beneficial for the staff to thoroughly inspect dishes before using them.

Average Mexican food, but was good. service was very good. only the personal clean chairs and tables a little better is everything! also water was served in a dirty glass (so their staff should look at the dishes better before they use them).

My family has visited Cilantros multiple times. The experience is consistently excellent. The food is delicious, the service is quick and attentive, and the ambiance is welcoming.

I think it's time to update my review from a few years ago when this restaurant was called El Mexicano and located in a different location. They say a rose by any other name smells just as sweet, and in this case, whether it's called El Mexicano or Cilantros, the food tastes just as good. The delicious food I wrote about in my previous post years ago is still very much valid. Your taste buds will enjoy a great experience at Cilantros! I have visited this restaurant several times with family, friends, and business associates, and I have always left happy and full. My favorite dish, the Pollo La Isla, is still outstanding - chicken breast fillets with bacon, Chorizo, and cheese dip on top, served with Mexican rice, guacamole salad, and tortillas. The service is quick and efficient, even when the restaurant is busy or you come with a large group. I have visited for lunch on workdays and been back to my desk within an hour. The new location is a significant improvement, with more light, openness, and a beautiful bar area. It's definitely worth the move. My only complaint is that they do not have Kahlua, a popular Mexican drink and one of my favorites. If they added it to their menu, I would love this place even more! Cilantros is a fantastic local spot in Van Wert - if you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

My favorite food ! No other restaurant compares. Portions are big. The frozen drinks don't have enough mix in them, usually pretty flavorless but I don't order them often so not a problem. The male servers manager always look stuck up and irritated but anymore that's part of the fun trying to see if we can get them to loosen up. We don't mind. lol. The food makes up for all of it.
