A Class Ice Cream - Van Nuys

Once you weigh your items, they print a small receipt for you. Inside, there’s a little shop offering snacks, ice cream, drinks, children's toys, discounted designer shoes, and more. The cashier takes your receipt and gives you the cash value for your recyclables. Be sure to use some of your earnings and don’t forget to tip the staff outside! They have a designated tip container right by the weighing station. I’m giving this place four stars because it often smells like cigarettes inside, and the recycling area can sometimes be cluttered. I suppose that's to be expected; it's not a luxury facility. Parking can be a bit tricky, but I usually manage to find a spot nearby. If the lot is full, street parking can be challenging. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

When I got to the building, I noticed several cars parked illegally, including mine. I didn’t wait too long, and one of the employees was friendly enough to help me empty my recyclables into a bin. However, I only gave this place three stars because, again, the parking lot was a real hassle. Additionally, the man at the check-in was quite rude. He asked me something, and I could hardly hear him, so he ended up yelling at me as if I were foolish. When he handed me the ticket, I asked if I needed to take it inside. Since it was my first visit and I was unsure, he treated me like I was clueless because he didn’t know the answer himself. While I was relieved to get rid of some of my recyclables, I think I’ll stick with my usual place from now on.

Perfect little gem! This place is definitely my favorite. They have a variety of nostalgic ice creams from my childhood. Their prices are very reasonable. I love taking my kids here so we can enjoy as much ice cream as we want – it’s just that good!

Friendly, helpful staff! Looks like they have great hours which is definitely a plus. Parking is tricky just do the best you can and don't be a jerk.Note: if you are afraid of bees do not go here. There are so many! They don't bother you but they do kind of swarm around you while you wait your turn. They like all the sweet stuff left in the cans/bottles.

I went back and the man who weighed the recycling was so nice. the opposite was a bit strange and the people around the load were a bit away. total easy and fast recycle and pay off
