Contribuiți la feedbackAfter a full day of riding, it was nice to find a restaurant inside the hotel. Had a set menu, with a choice of fish/eat (both excellent) and a cold bottle of Pinot Grigot. Lovely dinner altogether.
What a nice place to stay. We had lovely time. Food was excellent. Nice service! Girls always helpful. Spa treatment so professional and relaxing atmosphere. Perfect holiday but too short...
We’re a couple, planned to have a dinner at our this restaurant. At the entrance, a very very arrogant girl simply said “we’re all booked, you can eat at the bar”. Now, there is a 101 way to tell your guests you are all booked, try to be friendly, be helpful and make them leave with good feelings. All we heard was “ok, bye.” Terrible experience. Lucky that we didn’t leave a dime at this hole.
We stayed at the Alpen Chalet Hotel for 5 nights and ate in the hotel restaurant 3 nights. The menu, while not very large, has a nice and varied selection. Everything was always fresh and delicious. The fixed menu each night was appealing and there was always the option to switch one of the plates if you prefered something else. Our waitress spoke excellent English and was very attentive. On the fourth night we went to the #2 rated restaurant in the area and thought it was not nearly as good, on any level (quality, atmostphere, value) as the Alpen, which is rated #14 (of 16). On the last night, we went to the #2 rated restaurant in Bormio (of about 100) and the Alpen, in our opinion, was just as good. Don't miss this place if you are in the area.
This beautifully renovated chalet was a great find in Alta Valtellina. We had an excellent lunch: the best pizzoccheri ever, a delicious deer steak, great desserts... The service was careful and well paced, and the price is just right. A very nice garden with goats and bunnys and a small playground are a big plus for families. We highly recommend this place! (Notice that the name is Alpen, not Alpin)
