The Ash Pub - Uttlesford

I made a reservation online 6 weeks in advance for an early dinner, but when we arrived, they had no record of it. After showing them the confirmation message, they were able to seat us as the dining room was empty. We had an early dinner and some menu items were already sold out. I ordered the beef roast dinner, which was good overall, but the roast potatoes seemed reheated and the parsnips were overcooked. My husband had the steak and mushroom pie which he found to be dry with hard pastry. The price of £48.00 for a pint of beer and a glass of wine felt a bit high for the quality of the food. We don't plan on returning due to our experience with the cooking.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Ash. I tried a new dish - vegetarian sausages with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and two delicious homemade Yorkshire puddings. It was refreshing to see something different on the menu, as many places only offer veggie burgers as an option. I was pleased to see The Ash providing multiple choices for vegetarians.

We would never have come over this place if we hadn't knocked him first. it was very quiet when we came in, but every reflection on the quality of the place was soon quadrupled when we seasoned a delicious meal and. were served in a huge yorkshire pudding. the service was great, the price was reasonable and the portions were good. so good that I could not manage dessert (and I wanted to try the apple crumb when we are ever in the opposite again, we will definitely visit again.

Huge menu served in beautiful environment by friendly and helpful staff. large and tasty portions of food aided by a decent drink list.

Loves this country pub. fantastic staff. fantastic eating. beautiful for a Sunday roast. so comfortable for the airport and comfortable accommodation I can recommend eating and drinking. good menu and a free choice of beer and wine. owners are fun and always helpful these spills... about helpful and efficient employees. I think how beautiful the marquee would come together for a big family. playground for children win.
