Contribuiți la feedbackIt feels as if the only reason one visits Stationen is the location and atmosphere. They have a restaurant, a café and a bar. During summer, the seats outside are crowded with people having a drink and socialising. During winter, the atmosphere is cozy and warm. The couches by the windows overlooking the train tracks are in particular great. Sadly, the food is lacking in quality. The restaurant itself is ok. A bit overpriced but it not too bad. The café on the other hand is terrible. I don't think I have ever had a good cake or pastry there and I have visited several times. It's all dry and tasteless, kinda like it's old and have been sitting there for days. The cocktails are very mediocre, small and not worth the price. Nowadays whenever someone suggests a fika or drink, I just simply order a wine/cider/beer or coffee as that is the only thing really worth it.
No dogs allowed and very poor service. Having been here once before on a busy night it surprised me that the barman was in an equally poor mood with a long queue at the bar despite it being a quiet period. Expensive drinks and a rude barman was not the greatest so I was already preparing to tell my partner we wouldn’t be coming here again. Got back to my partner and our two dogs on the massive terrace to find he was being told to leave because dogs aren’t allowed. For context there was full sun 26 degrees and when we arrived there was no sign forbidding dogs and no staff around to ask. What annoyed me most was the attitude. No kindness and just plain rude. We were directed to an area in full sun and given 15 minutes to drink. We are English speakers and only when I refused in Swedish were we directed to a shady area, but still given just 15 mins. We’d had a lovely afternoon shopping, having just relocated from west Sweden and this was not a great introduction to Uppsala. Ironically I recall the days when this was still the station house many years ago. Now they think it is a trendy place to be seen and that a bad attitude should be a part of their service provision. It’s basically a fancy pub at a train station. Best avoided.
Good ambience, pleasant location, small portions with appropriate quality. Let me go over.
Beautiful three parts with a matching device. London, Paris and Rome. The food is awsome with excellent fish like Char recommend the fish and mussels stew. The wine list is also solid. Price level
Love the decoration and the history of the place always packed very beautiful food and ambience
