The food was adequate, but nothing to write home about, typical of a chain restaurant. I did try the honey-glazed pork on one occasion, which I found quite tasty, but overall, the quality of the food varied greatly. Don't expect your waitress to check on you frequently; you'll often have to search for someone to bring the bill. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're part of a large group and are prepared to leave a substantial tip.
I usually don’t write reviews, but I felt I had to share my experience because this restaurant was quite disappointing. From the moment we entered, the host appeared irritated. After being seated, the waitress positioned herself at a table across from us without introducing herself and simply asked what we wanted. We ordered three items, but they were all out of stock. When we finally received our food, the waitress didn’t check on us until we were done eating. Although we had the dessert menu on the table, she brought us the bill without inquiring if we wanted anything else. One side of the restaurant had a musty odor, and there was garbage on the floor despite two employees sitting nearby. The restroom was in poor condition as well.
During my last visit, I noticed that the dip portion was significantly larger, which made my recent experience quite disappointing. The serving is barely enough for two people, and I'm not trying to be unreasonable—I just want to feel like my money is being well spent. It appears that restaurants are increasing prices while also reducing portion sizes. Instead of addressing my feedback, the staff member responded with a patronizing smile. When I inquired about getting a refill as a courtesy, she simply shook her head to indicate no. As I left, she wished me a "Have a good day" in that same condescending tone. I can't shake the feeling that if I had been rude or confrontational, my concerns might have been taken more seriously. Unfortunately, I don’t plan to return to the Ruby Tuesday in Largo.
When the manager, T, finally arrived, I explained what had happened and requested that the original bartender not assist me anymore. To my dismay, she responded that she didn’t want to help me either, which only added to my frustration. Unfortunately, the manager didn’t improve the situation much; the bartender continued to be disrespectful in his presence. Overall, my experience was very disappointing, and I will not be returning. The manager and staff could significantly benefit from customer service training. I wouldn’t give this place any stars.
I want to share my impressions of this restaurant, as I believe it has significant potential. However, there are several areas that could use improvement, particularly in refining their recipes and enhancing customer service, especially when it comes to providing condiments. Furthermore, the quality of their meats, particularly the brisket, needs some attention. I genuinely hope they consider this feedback. I may come back in a few months to see if there have been any improvements, but I'm concerned about the long-term viability of the business if things continue as they are.
