Quick taco tienda.... I stopped by this place for lunch having read a few positive reviews. I wish I had known about Monarca sooner. I ordered the chicken tacos at 2 for $4, and they came with plenty of meat, onions, and cilantro, wrapped up in two corn tortillas and served a slice of lime and salsa verde. I ordered my meal to go and the kitchen had it ready in about five minutes. I really have been craving this kind of taco, so I savored the tastes and textures. The heat on the chicken was a more than I would have liked, but I don't think I would say it was too spicy, I just like a slightly more mild chicken taco. Anyway, the whole experience was very good and I plan to go back--even if it did give me a touch of heartburn.
Great Mexican. Excellent food, never been disappointed. Guacamole is the best I 've had at a restaurant. Chicken tacos are my favorite and the tortes and tamales are wonderful as well. I 've read some comments on the service and we 've never had a problem, it 's not warm service or overwhelming service you may find some places, which it 's fine by me. They take your order, bring your food and fill your drinks as needed, just the essentials.
This place was amazing!!!!. It's super clean, and the owner and family are amazingly nice and attentive. The food is so delicious!!! The tacos here are authentic and no nonsense, with generous portions of filling piled onto fresh, grainy corn tortillas. My favorites are the adobado (marinated pork) and de Lengua (beef tongue tacos)…They serve big portions of everything and for a cheap price. I recommend this place to anyone
Yummy. I have eaten here several time and always have an enjoyable time. The tortas are very good as are the tacos and other fare you would expect in a Mexican restaurant. The red salsa could use a little more kick for my taste, but the green is very good. Tamales are really good and not bathed in cheese. One note, you need to order chips and salsa, they are not automatically brought to your table and there is a charge. But the chips seem to be made there are are very good. The guacamole is definitely worth trying. They also have traditional Jarritos sodas (Pineapple, mango, tamarind and the like) which make a nice addition to the meal,
