Contribuiți la feedbackSurprisingly, my favorite things American has to offer is their hummus and baba ganoush. Both are super flavorful and I would order quarts of the stuff if I could! Their wraps are your standard meat wrap and are good but a little dry. They could use a bit more sauce or even pickles in the wrap to give it a bit more oomph. We've also tried the falafel which have great texture but could use a bit more flavor.
If you are looking for a friendly, comfortable, delicious, clean place to eat, sit, work, and/or relax, American Falafel checks all of the boxes. The hospitality is unmatched and is consistent with every visit. The quality and authenticity of the food is equally consistent? complex in flavor, extremely reasonably priced, and the portion sizes are generous and filling. There are a variety of dishes and options to choose from, ranging from dips/spreads (great to share OR get them to go and bring to a party , shawarma wraps, and full plate ?skillet? type meals, which makes it an accessible dining experience based on how hungry you are, your food mood, or how much time that you have, though the food comes out quickly (without compromising quality or presentation every time. Though one can get dishes such as falafels and hummus many places around town, the intentionality and flavors behind Chef Feras?s authentic Jordanian street food approach really sets American Falafel apart. The falafels themselves are the most flavorful that I?ve tried *anywhere*, and each falafel ?bite? is about the size of a lemon (you can get 5 for $6 which could suffice as a meal by itself! New to food from this part of the world? Ask for a recommendation they?re so happy to help. Even if you just stop in to relax or say hello, owner Mohammed is always quick with warm greetings and a cup of seriously unmatchable hot Jordanian Bedouin tea with fresh mint. PS there?s wifi, outdoor seating, and they?re pup friendly. ???? ???? don?t wait! ???? ????????
Tasty, scratch-made food, simple menu, fast and friendly service by owner-chef. The mint tea while we were ordering added a touch of Mediterranean hospitality
The Falafel Sandwich was the best part as it was pretty good for Falafel you get in the States. The Beef Kabob platter was just ok, as it could have used more spice and flavor. The hummus was good, and used fresh tasting olive oil. The pitas could have been better and a bit fluffier/home made instead of bought. Overall not bad for a quick bite, but some work is needed on the spices and flavors.
Wrote a long previous review and got an upset response from owner so I figure I'll shorten it. Prices weren't on menu and menu item pictures were misleading. They pictured a wrap and fries, only were told after paying and getting the wraps that fries were a side item. The taste of the falafel was fine, that isn't my problem with the place.
