Contribuiți la feedbackWe decided to take the road less travelled between Bilbao and San Sebastion-Donostia in order to stop at this hotel. The room was lovely with a view over the valley. We had 2 starters, 2 mains and split a portion of cheese between us. All were very good as was the wine, but we were almost alone in the lovely dining room. Breakfast the next morning was unexpectedly expensive (as much as a cafe in Bilbao) as everything was a la carte. But all very good also, On the way down to San Sebastian, we stopped for a lovely walk.
What a shame of cheese cake. A new deconstruction receipt that had nothing to do with the traditional previous one. Please, no ice cream in such a mix of flavours. Not worth ordering it. The rest great as usual. I love innovation but please, imagine deconstructing cream horns. No point in. Cheese cake the same.
Another memory from childhood (the cuajada was a childhood treat that I still look forward to . The drive up to it from Pamplona is an easy one but delivers you to a beautiful spot in the Pyrenees. The restaurant, itself, is family-run (the same as 35 years ago? and offers food in a dining room with panoramic views of the shallow highcountry valley immediately below it. The food is fresh, extremely high quality and, overall, a meal here makes out like an event worth repeating. No mistaking why travellers from all around the area (as well as from the rest of Europe passing through stop here. Deer (reindeer? graze along the fence of the parking lot and will approach you for a rub of their muzzles. My kids were enchanted.
Bueno para decir que hoy y yo estaba en el restaurante vendiendo ulzama y me sorprendió por mal, la comida más o menos normal excepto las costillas de cordero, cortado a máquina super delgada y quemado, que lo doy para bien en un menú del día, pero no cuando me cobran 20e más iva por una relación, el mejor ciertamente postre
I've known him since he was a kid. traditional and local food, very well prepared. the service, magnificent. in summary, quality and tradition and good to know.
