Canton Regent - Tullamore

Was there yesterday .58 euros for 2 mains and 2 kids meals ,no drinks no desert.Absolute rip off never going back.How they can justify 58 euro for what we got is beyond me .Probably explains why there wasn't a lot of customers

I found the staff were very rude, impatient and unhelpful, we got the impression that we were unwelcomed and he was annoyed at us. Also some of the menu was unavailable to eat there, you had to get it to take away and we were unimpressed by this.

This place was great, we had a number of dishes. All were fresh cooked, flavorful and delicious. The value for money was good as well.

The food looked and tasted great, and was genuinely a tasty and enjoyable experience. The menu is very diverse/varied and has a lot of choices for any taste. The decor and atmosphere of the place feel authentic and relaxing. I'll certainly be coming back here for dinner. The only thing that really can be criticized (perhaps aside from the lack of desserts) is that the service could do with some work. For example, instead of leaving the shared rice bowl at our table, the waiter insisted on shoving the race onto our plates himself, which was a bit awkward. But otherwise, again, I really recommend the place.

I was more than a little apprehensive after reading some of the previous reviews . However we had a fantastic experience last night. The food was excellent, and the service, polite friendly and professional. It is also one of the swankier looking Chinese restaurants, so well furnished, quiet and very comfortable. I haven't posted for a while, but I was so impressed I wanted to let people know that either the staff have changed or have been retrained. Emma in Particular was fantastic. We were served quickly despite the head chef being on holiday, and it being a busy Saturday at 7.30 PM We will most definitely be back.
