The Melting Pot Restaurant - Troy

Last year we were about 20/25 times in the melting pot and had never experienced such a bad service. our reservation was at 7:15 a.m. and at 10 a.m. we had to ask for the bill since our children were done for the evening. in at least 45 minutes, which were frustrating, our server was not on our table. we hadn't even dessert what's best. it wasn't more business than any other Friday night, so I'm not sure what the problem was and we were there celebrating my son 5th birthday and we couldn't even do that because we were handed over our dessert, but went into a container since it was over 3 hours and still had the main course with which we were finished before us. we were sat and ordered our whole meal including dessert within the first 30 minutes, so it is not as if we were not ordered for one. it was really a waste of $250 and I wish I could get my money back and take my son somewhere else to celebrate. he was upset and we were all very disappointed.

Everything was fantastic! we went for the first time. we celebrated our jubilee, our server went beyond and beyond to make our experience great!

The service was amazing. She was very attentive and also went above and beyond to help my friend find her phone. She was fantastic. The food, however, left much to be desired. It was just okay. The portions do not justify the high cost. I mean, an $18 lobster tail should have some meat, and it was nothing but shell. How did I pay over $200 and have to eat something else at home because I was still hungry? The cost was absolutely beyond ridiculous for the amount and quality of the food. The dessert was like crumb size, not near enough for two people. We even ordered the biggest meal for two. I was highly disappointed and will never return for that. I know you pay for the experience, but that amount to cook your own food is not that great of an experience.

We took the kids and had the chicken and steak. It was a 2 hour experience. The kids loved it. I wouldve liked to have seen a bill rather than just seeing the total on a screen because the bill was 50$ more than I expected.
