Sapporo Sushi - Troy

They have a large sign advertising Korean BBQ, but when we went inside, that section wasn't open.

I was really impressed with the beef, which was cut into steak pieces. It was cooked to nearly well-done, making it a bit chewy, but still tender enough. The sauce was excellent. The stir-fried vegetables still had a nice crunch to them. It was quite filling! I enjoyed it so much that I convinced my friend to order the same dish when I returned for a second visit. I also tried the black bean noodles. As I expected, the black bean sauce leaned towards the sweet side, and it was rich with zucchini, onion, and pork. I’m not a fan of sweet dishes, so I couldn’t finish it myself, but it was good for black bean noodles. I also sampled the sweet potato roll and the tempura roll (ebi avocado), both of which were delicious. The prices are reasonable, and the service is great too!

They wouldn't honor the prices that were posted, and they turned away a new customer. The taco place next door isn't too bad, though.

Came on a Saturday around 7pm, there was no wait and we got a table right away. Ordered a variety of things. Apps: Crab Rangoon (had actual crab), gyoza, and agedashi tofu. All very good. Dinner: hibachi fried rice (good flavor), yaki udon, and jap chae (both pretty salty but flavor was good). Sushi rolls as well. The rice on the sushi was good, flavor and texture, as some places can have mushy rice. The food came out fast and the staff was really friendly.

I went here for dinner and had the Vegetable Teriyaki dish a very familiar dish for me but this restaurant did an especially good job with the variety of vegetables and making sure they were properly cooked and seasoned. Service was high quality and fast, the prices for everything were also reasonable. The manager checked on us midway through our meal to ensure everything was good! It wasn't overly crowded and the music/TV's were not loud, so it was very easy to have conversations at our table. Excellent restaurant!!
