Mini House - Trivandrum

We use the Mini house restaurant Dolphin on a regular basis, the Mini House is fortunate enough to have one of the best Chefs in the area Shibu who has a professional caring attitude to his cooking.Good views although can be a bit noisy with the waves crashing on the rocks below if the sea is rough, pleasant surroundings set on two levels the lower one being right next to the sea.Situated just a short distance from the lighthouse it is well worth a visit.RegardsIan

The food and service are not spectacular, but the locating and balcony view over the sea is breathtaking as you watch the waves crash onto the rocky bay below. I strongly recommend the potted cashew nuts as a snack.

Stumbled into this place on our 1st night & returned many times. The place is fab for breakfast because of the setting but equally good in the evening. The coconut rice is a meal in itself

I visited the Mini House for Dinner after a nice walk at the Lighthouse beach. The restaurant has an awesome view of the sea which makes it worth visiting the restaurant.Though, the service was equally bad. I entered the restaurant at 9:25 PM and the waiter straighaway told me in a rude language that I need to order within a minute or two else they will not take the order.I ordered a soup (one by two) which he plainily refused. He told that he will provide an extra bowl but we have to divide it ourselves. I have this experience first time and I am a very frequent traveller.Though, finally food (soup and noodles) come and I have to mention that both tasted bad. We left more than half un-touched and left the place in a hurry.I would not suggest this restaturant to anyone though it have a lovely view of the sea. Please avoid.

Along the walk, simple room well furnished and clean. you drink and eat with low prices. the terrace is right in front of the sea. deserves a stop.
