My wife and I visited this sugar shack during a lovely stay at the inn. We are vegetarians and this is one of the few places where we can indulge in our love for good Quebecois cuisine without worry! There was a wide selection of traditional dishes, all of which were delicious and plentiful. The staff was charming and friendly. We highly recommend this sugar shack to everyone!
We have visited Sucrerie des Gallant three times before and the food was excellent, but this time it was terrible. The bacon tasted off and the meatballs and sausages were not good, almost like they had been reheated after being kept in the fridge for too long. The beans were undercooked and had a strange taste. The soup was also disappointing, tasting like diluted canned soup. I'm not sure if they have a new chef, but the quality of the food has declined significantly compared to previous years. I wish we hadn't paid in advance or I would have left!
We were here at a high time. beautiful ambiente with old buildings that were converted into large groups. However, to get to the place that is involved in a kiesweg, not big in high heels!
We went a group of 11. Everything is freshly cooked in the buffet. There is quite a variety. There is a container of maple syrup in the table and they replenish it as needed. The crispy bacon at the beginning is delicious. The cretons are...just like my maman made them. For dessert, the pouding au chômeur is excellent. Everyone said that the crepes with apple were delicious. As you walk out, they offer you tire on the snow. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Service was great. It was a Friday evening so there was no entertainment and we were fine with that. Well done!
