Amical - Traverse City

Good service from a knowledgeable server, great food and presented well.

Amical was actually our 2nd choice on this night but the other restaurant had a n one hour wait. We 're very glad they did because our experience at Amical was outstanding. We have always loved Amical but it has been several years since our last visit. The weather this night was overcast, a bit breezy, and with temps around 50, maybe even high 40 's. I mention the weather because the only immediate table available was in the closed in outdoor area. Outdoor seating is not permanently enclosed but rather well surrounded with attractive plastic. The area was heated and comfortable and we actually enjoyed the fresh air that filtered through. We are relatively light eaters and normally have food leftover to take home. We shared the Cracker Crust Pizza for appetizer and it was perfect. The garlic puree served as sauce and the cracker crust was awesome. We also shared a Ceasar Salad and loved it as well. Our entrees was the Center Cut Filet, medium rare, and it was prepared to perfection. For dessert we had the scrumptious Chocolate-Caramel Tart with bold Higher Ground coffee. It was a great meal. Our waitstaff was friendly and responsive. One of the 'exceeded expectations ' moments for us came when we explained that we were light eaters. Our waitstaff asked if we 'd prefer the Salad split instead of sharing one plate, and offered the same for the Filet. We don 't normally ask for this because we have gotten the side-eye at other restaurants when we say we are sharing everything. It was a nice touch. We will be back soon!

Perfection! Service was timely friendly. The food was delicious. Most entrees are in the $30 to $40 range. My only knock against Amical was that they charged $1 for basic bread rolls with butter. That didn't fit with the upscale nature of the restaurant. It should be changed.

The food was fantastic, made reservations the day before and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was great, very attentive and informative. The menu is AMAZING, the filet was so tender and juicy, we actually went back two days later for dinner again it was SO good. Definitely give this place 5 stars and more. Our table also got the salmon, and it was amazing as well. Drinks are well made and dessert was also delicious. A
