Traralgon RSL

After waiting for about ten minutes, my meal finally arrived. I asked the Asian server why there was such a delay between the meals, but she simply mentioned something about not having a booking and walked away, which did not seem like a valid excuse for the slow service. It had been almost an hour since we arrived, and the service was very slow and poor, with numerous excuses. I advised the waiting staff that the food was not up to par, and we decided to leave. I suggested that there are many other good restaurants in Traralgon where customers would get better value for their money. In conclusion, the bar staff was excellent, but the catering service at the RSL was disappointing.

First, I have to say that the staff at the restaurant were amazing! My partner and I, without children, were greeted by Tracy at the bar who made us feel right at home. We made a dinner reservation and the servers who took care of us were also fantastic and very friendly. We ordered two entrees, but they came out wrong. When I pointed this out, the staff had to consult with the manager and eventually brought out a new menu. The food we received tasted like it had been overcooked and was unpleasant to eat. I was shocked by the poor quality of my meal. When I expressed my disappointment, one waitress, named Anne or Anna, had the audacity to ask if I was drunk, which I found insulting. However, I want to make it clear that all the other waitresses were amazing, beautiful, and friendly. The restaurant itself is a nice social spot, but they may need to reconsider their bistro offerings as they were not up to par.

Visited a few RSL Clubs around Australia and this rates as the worst, so far. The facilities look extremely tired and second rate. I went to the bar to order a beer after a 600km car journey and I was the only customer, apart from...one other, who had just been served and was departing the bar area. The bar person then left the bar and went to an office where two other staff were and I was left at the bar (with a wicked thirst) for over 3 minutes, so I left. The restaurant was closed for the week after Christmas up until New Year, so no meal available. In conclusion, my view is that the club is more interested in the pokies than a friendly club atmosphere. Would I visit again NO.

The first time I went to the RSL the meals where good with the menu there was a good choice but not for long the place went down hill real quick the menu changed what was ordered was not on the plate food cold not...enough staff very unsatisfactory.

Never again! We are on the road for work and every time we wait up to an hour for our small portion size meal. Today was the last time. When you wait 55 minutes for your tiny meal (with no apology on the ridiculous wait...time) you haven’t got time to go to the pokies after..put on more cooks or at least one who is used to working fast.
