Contribuiți la feedbackA London themed bar in a small Sicilian town doesn't, to be honest, sound like much of a positive prospect, but you would be wrong to think so. There are several reasons for this. The first is that while it's a bar, it is unable to get away from the pan Sicilian tendency to want to feed you and generally be good hosts as if their lives depended upon it. So the food is also epic. Even the bar snacks are about four times as large as they are anywhere over here (I write this from London . The second is that the food is superb. Okay I didn't have the entire menu, but the steak was absolutely stunning I was really startled. Red red rare and just melt in the mouth. The wine list was very good as well I think I had the Nero D'Avola but I may be mistaken I sampled quite a few over that week and the reminiscences get muddled. The decor is quite dark yet also pale (white painted and cool...yet the age of the building is charmingly indicated by the massive stone arches holding up the back part of the bar and also which you walk through to get to the loos. The range of spirits is excellent and the mixologist is hyper motivated and leaps around all over the place squeezing oil from orange peel, crumbling cinnamon sticks and generally carrying on. Prices aren't exactly cheap but the drinks are both large and exquisite...especially the Monkey47 which is my personal recommendation (and I'm afraid its not Sicilian who knew the Germans made such good gin?? . It is, however, probably the staff that make the biggest impact. They're all falling over themselves to help you out, to talk to you, to chat and be helpful, and while I can't speak for the chaps' appearance, the waitress was quite spectacular as well. In fact she is probably worth a trip just herself. The clientele is mostly young folks and the atmosphere is quite buzzy without being overly loud. Its not dramatic or cliched in terms of decor. It's a nice, simple, friendly bar, and it's the first place I am going back to when I return to Sicily. Cheers.
This is for sure a place where you have to eat if you visit Trapani. Amazing food with ingredients of the Sicilian tradition. We had Sicilian starters, an amazing pasta (it is called Jekyll, I strongly suggest to try it if you go) and fresh fried sea food. I also had a Mojito Cake, something completely new that I have never tried before. Prices are below the average of the other restaurants in the city, excellent service, and you have also the possibility to eat outside thanks to the nice area available in front of the restaurant. Definitely the best choice in the city if you want to eat high quality food and have good time in Trapani.
Absolutely amazing place. Felt welcome and relaxed from the moment we walked in. Host was incredible from recommendations of cocktails to telling us about the inspiration of his theme. All staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was delicious reminded us of home cooked comfort food. Bar was well stocked with produce from all over the world.
This spot has great staff first of all. Then the cocktails are amazing and really well developed, Salvatore makes sure this happens. The food was amazing, really on pointz including the desert. The location of the restaurant is very good and the price smiles at us as well as the music. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
Don’t miss this favorite among the locals for excellent cocktails and good food. Owner and bartender Tore and his friendly English speaking staff serves mostly authentic Sicilian libations and always local, fresh products. When not a strong promoter of Danish Carlsberg beer!.
