On the occasion of a Sunday excursion to Tramonti di Sotto, after visiting the ancient Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta and the Lombard necropolis, we headed towards Campone, where we saw the old mill on the Chiarsò stream and then went to Zanon, where the farm Stalon, Mauro and Maria, two Sardinians that settled in this little village of Friuli to breed sheep and goats with excellent cheeses. The farm is rustic and simple, the reception of Mary is thoughtful and warm, while Mauro is all intent on cooking the pig with the spit; what to say, the appetizer composed of ricotta, cheeses of sheep and goat, cream of pecorino and salami of their production is really exquisite, the pig with the spit is the not plus ultra, tender and soft, cooked to perfection. To finish a delicious ricotta cream with strawberries and a great glass of myrtle. The account, given the quality of the dishes and their abundance (the pig has served us 2 times) was right and correct. In conclusion here you will find genuine foods, exclusively produced by their company, to try absolutely if you are in the area and if not, it still deserves the road. See you soon.
Unfortunately the day we arrived inside was all full, the lady was very kind and set us up in the table outside. We even asked the bis for sliced cutters and mixed cheese!! To arrive there are no great indications, and perhaps also for this place preserves its essence! There is the possibility to buy some production products them! You deserve the road!
