Monsoons Bar and Grill - Townsville

Monsoons has great food and the bar tenders are knowledgeable about the drinks. The outdoor dining area is the perfect spot to relax around lunch time. It's also shaded if you need to be out of the direct sun but still want some fresh air.

Popped in here after cruising along the strand again! Welcoming enough,advised food was stopping soon, ordered a burger,schnitzel,barramundi between the 3 of us. it was all ok,nothing massive but at $10 a go the burger was probably the best bet,good size with enough chips,Barra was fine but very few chips? played pool too but tables are pretty worn hardly surprising given its a bar! nice outside area on the river(which seems to contain heaps of chairs and stools?) shame there was only 1 table with shade, as it is a good place to view from during the day.

Dropped in for a quick lunch. Staff seemed a little confused over how they wished to serve me, but I got through the confusion and received a fine example of salt and pepper squid. Done well, not too salty or peppery. Washed it down with a nice bourbon on what was a pretty miserable Townsville day. Pretty good all up.

Our workplace had our Christmas party here on 09/12/2016. We all had a 3 course meal. All courses were delicious and there wasn't a long wait between courses. We had the room to ourselves, we could be as loud as we liked. Air-conditioned, clean, great music, pool tables, T.V.'s. Drinks reasonably priced. Very well priced meals ($40 per head), highly recommend for any function. We were all very well looked after!

Returned for more wings and bucket of beers. Such a great place to sit and relax looking at the river and soak up the sun. Great music .Same friendly staff happy to chat. Everytime we come to townsville we will come here. Highly recommended to everyone.
