Contribuiți la feedbackI and my foodie friend from tasmania are very fussy esser that we both appreciate brilliant food, great ingredients, skill chefs, artistic talent that plays with their taste buds, and au pois gourmnand has it in full, it is an awesome restaurant in a...tunning location directly at the garonne. we were a little surprised when our driver said is expensive and not very good! ignore taxi drivers this was completely wrong to eat his ace place. this meal was the 2nd in a three-day eating extravaganza, we had already done at night one that was amazing, and today at night 2 was before us. During the day we had discussed which menu to choose, it was not a brains, the most praised tasting menu with wine flying, yum. service was friendly and welcoming, the sommelier was the most enthusiastic we had ever met. we had one of my favorite as aperitif, floc de gascogne, a fortified wein from armagnac and grape juice, very delicious. So, together comes lütttich from longyte and longoutine, in a beautiful white porcelain cup, with a dusting of piment D’Espelette, an ingredient that I very familiar with, as it comes from a small number of villages in the basque region of france, a red pfeffer that is dried in the sun and drowned, as a spicy or entirely in one! this was a subtle but very rich first cure, the palate went ping pong always a good sign, delish. curs No.2 was boooom tasty, knockout and very tasty in the did. (just saying)! gambas and lobster tartare, carrot citrus vinaigrette, puffed quinoa. it was simply amazing, delicate meat of garnish and lobster that was soft and giving, the vinaigrette was delicious and the crisp quinoa grains add some subtle texture, it was brilliant and I would have a second portion! what next discussed we go so happy with the first couple cursing that we sassous watching the garnish, discussing if there was a bit of fluted I was the menu, white chocolate and yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit, a little (please not like lemons. I had to look back on the menu and then move in, another booooom moment, it was stunning, perfectly balanced, almost sweet and sour, but on another wise this chef is very clever with matching aromen. awesome. so we have a half-lobster, roasted with spatula, girolles fricassee and new pink garlic siphon. somewhat more conventional of this course but also delicious. during the courses we had a glasses of coup de gueule, vin de lune, a very beautiful l’Eden of serene of limousine, where the famous cremante is made, the “original” champagne (transform the story its fascinating, I have visited the city and one of the original wineries.. au pois gourmand was a brilliant restaurant, relaxed service, ingenious eating, quiet location and yes I would recommend it and yes I would go back and eat again here in view of the choice, it was amazing. take a walk and try.
I absolutely love coming here! The setting is gorgeous, the staff are professional and welcoming, and the food is top notch. It’s always hard to choose because the 3 menus on offer are all so tempting. It’s also really nice to be able to taste...different wines that have been selected to go with your meal. Whenever we have friends or family visiting, le Pois Gourmand is on the list of places to go. Any excuse to visit is good for me!
Went from 3 course menu and absolutely loved the food and the setting. It is a bit difficult to get to, but worth the effort!
Best place in Toulouse and amazing food. Located on the Garonne river in a peaceful place. I recommend having lunch or dinner in the garden. Food is just perfect , sophisticated and balanced. The food and wine combination is just amazing. People are passionate about...what they do and how they do it!
The dinner we had ranks with some of the best food we have ever had. We had the “ Lobster Menu” and from Amuse Bouche to the Dessert ,every course was excellent. Perfect portions and presentation. We took the “wine option” and they all complemented...to food perfectly. Perhaps a small top-up of the glass half way through the course would have been a nice gesture. But nothing detracted from the excellence of the food. The setting close to the river is great. The staff were very friendly , helpful and knowledgeable. Plenty of parking. It was busy on the Thursday we went so I guess booking would be a good idea at any time
