Kanda - Tokyo

Fantastic experience. A little expensive, but worth 3 Michael Star. Service was great.

Probably one of the best meals I've ever had! Each dish is different on the palate and I love how it produces such flavor depth from simple but high-quality ingredients. The food portions are simply beautiful and not overwhelming and the love was also great. Five stars!

An experience I will remember for a lifetime. Humiliated but deep flavors. Matsutake mushroom season was just an extra pleasure. p.s. the tuna toro with white truffle and sea salt... mind-blown.

This was a very special experience. It was my first time fine dining in Japan and it was very different than North America. The location was innocuous but from the moment I entered the restaurant, service was fantastic. I sat at the 8 person counter for an intimate kaiseki experience. I loved watching Chef Kanda work and they were gracious enough to explain everything to me in English. The flavors were so very different than the West that it's hard to describe- they were refined and beautifully complex and my drink pairings were a perfect match. Before going, I read some other less favorable reviews and I couldn't disagree more- Kanda was a highlight of my trip. Enjoy!
