Ping's Grill - Toccoa

The restaurant was very clean our table had a view. Restrooms were very clean. It was a cool fall day so the fire was going the the fireplace. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our food was prepared perfectly and to our order. It arrived at a table quickly. All that being said, they really need a soft close on their door to the porch dining. It slammed over and over destroying the ambience. Food: 5

First time ordering since new owners reopened and it will be the last. Unfortunately, I have Celiac disease and require a strict gluten free diet. I had a discussion about these limitations for over 3 minutes with the person taking my order. I was ordering salads for eight people total. When we received the order, all of the salads had croutons on them, which makes my salad contaminated with gluten. I informed the staff that my salad had croutons and I couldn’t eat it. The person was upset at me and wanted to blame me for the mistake. She proceeded to have an argument loudly for several minutes with the person who took the order. She very grudgingly said they could make me another one, but I was fearful of what might be done to my food at that point. Pings Grill is not a good choice for dietary restrictions or for customer service. I’m not even sure they know what gluten free means. Our office will never order from there again. Beware! Dietary restrictions: They do not understand what Celiac Disease or gluten free means. Hopefully they will choose to educate themselves before someone gets sick.

Lake view is AWESOME! Service was great, awesome food. Great place to walk, then eat.

Four of us went for lunch last week. Two of us had the Turkey Rueben which was very good. I had the sweet potato fries with mine and my friend had onion rings. My mother had grilled shrimp and a salad with blue cheese dressing. She commented that the dressing didn't have much taste. The fourth in our party had the Chef's salad which was huge. It would benefit from being served in a large bowl rather than a plate (it was that big) so it could be mixed easily. All in all it was a lovely lunch.

I'm excited for when they bring alcohol back, my family will certainly go there more once that happens, but it's still a wonderful restaurant nonetheless Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
