Giorg Ristorante - Thunder Bay

We live in toronto, a city full of Italian restaurants and spend summer near thunder bay. we have been enjoying at giorg for years. the eating is always excellent, the wine list is plentiful and varied and the service is fast, effective and inconspicuous....I have numerous Italian Resto’s I can go, but my favorite is giorg. it is consistently excellent and one of the best restaurants in thunder bay.

We were looking for a new experience in Thunder Bay. Research brought us to this fabulous Italian restaurant. The restaurant was quiet enough to carry on wonderful conversations. We were not rushed and our waitrer went.out of his way to explain the different dishes. Over...3 hours we enjoyed a wonderful bottle of wine sharing the soup of the day and the gorgonzola salad, veal steak and a rabbit pasta dish. Each was a unique savory flavour. We finished with pistachio canneloni. Our waiter even assisted us to put our winter coats on. Seldom do you see such service in restaurants today. We will be back.

Giorg Cucina e Barra is a great Italian gem that needs to be experienced, and tasted! The service was exceptional, the waiter friendly and engaging. With so many delicious choices on the menu it was difficult to choose but I settled on the Rigatoni Bolognese...and my sister had the Pappardelle di Coniglio and neither of us were disappointed. I will need to check out other menu choices the next time I am in Thunder Bay

I was on tour and decided to buy winter clothes and boots (where else?). This restaurant that sat alone (as always, the waiter came by, rose to the knee, I don’t sweat, helped me with the ordering and suggested that I drink half the bottle of wine from the next table, left, at a reduced price. probably the best or second best culinary experience of my life,
