Noah's Ny Bagels - Thousand Oaks

In the past, Noah's was on the pricier side and had some rather rude employees, but the bagels were so warm, fresh, and flavorful that it was worth it. Unfortunately, the bagels are now even more expensive and taste more like cold bread rolls shaped like donuts. Be prepared for long wait times, only to encounter more delays at the register as employees chat amongst themselves, interrupt your order to answer the phone, vanish for a while, or "train" a new staff member. Additionally, the restroom situation is frustrating. You start to notice that the restaurant is not very clean or well-maintained. Given the prices, I have no intention of lowering my expectations when it comes to food quality or even spending a bit more. Clearly, Noah's wants you to accept their choices or to buy real bagels to stash in your freezer at home. I think I'll choose the latter and appreciate the convenience of having a bathroom close by while I wait for them to heat up.

The bagel itself tasted more like regular bread, and coupled with the underwhelming flavor, it was difficult to find anything redeeming about it. While they may look like New York bagels, the unique taste is entirely missing—it's pure California all the way. People don't usually go to these places for orange juice, but I feel obligated to mention that their so-called fresh-squeezed juice is heavily watered down. The only reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the double-baked hash browns are quite tasty. If you're calling yourself a New York bagel shop, you should hold yourself to New York standards, and this place simply doesn't measure up.

It's my favorite spot to visit on Sundays; the coffee is excellent and the bagels are always fresh!

I went to Noah's Bagels for my mother and myself. I was in a hurry so I ordered 6 bagels a tub of smear and a medium roast coffee with cream. Everything was delicious. The smear was light and fluffy and paired wonderfully with our soft delicious bagels ?. I liked this place a lot. My only criticism is that the coffee wasn't as hot as I like it. Total price was about $13.00. It was a good visit. I believe the owner helped me. He was very friendly and willing to help me with my order. I will be going back and more frequently for those soft delicious bagels ?!
