A wetherspoons but- quiet on a Saturday night.... 2 pints for under £5 -can't be bad. A guest ale was off each of the 2 nights we went, but plenty of room, and excellent value. Easy parking.
Drinks very reasonably priced, cheapest we found in Thirsk. Staff friendly and polite. So many tables to eat at and definitely worth a visit.
Great Building from the outside and bit of character on the inside. Was great to see black dragon cider in bottles behind the bar, surely one of the best ciders around and a very good selection of local beers from daleside brewery. Staff were nice and chatty and no complaints from me.
We ordered Eggs Benedict and a large traditional English breakfast. The Eggs Benedict were very good as my wife informed me. However the English breakfast that I ordered was very poor. The eggs were both undercooked with one looking like it had been dropped on the floor! The mushroom looked like something you would cough up. The bacon was bitty and look warm along with the beans and the sausages at best were disappointing. The hash browns needed more cooking. The toast was good. Not sure how you how you can go that wrong when clearly my wife,s breakfast was so nice!
